Box Quest
Confidence • Optimism • Adaptability • Problem-Solving

Description
A curiosity and confidence game that encourages your dog to explore and interact with new textures and shapes. It builds bravery, optimism, and adaptability while teaching that novelty is safe and rewarding.
How to Play
Make sure your dog is comfortable with scatter feeding before you begin.
Start with just one or two boxes and a few pieces of food scattered inside or around them.
Allow your dog to explore at their own pace. Gradually increase the number, size, and variety of boxes as their confidence grows.
Change the set-up each time you play — rotate different shapes, textures, and layouts so your dog learns that every new arrangement brings good things.
Occasionally call your dog to you for reassurance, then send them back to continue exploring their “quest.”
Why it Matters
Box Quest helps dogs learn that novelty equals something good. By starting slowly and building up difficulty, you show your dog that new experiences can be safe and fun. It boosts confidence, curiosity, and adaptability — all essential skills for resilient, happy dogs.
Tips for Success
Supervise at all times and use sturdy boxes that won’t collapse.
Keep sessions short and end on success.
For puppies or nervous dogs, begin with shallow, open boxes.
For confident dogs, add soft movement or new textures to keep the challenge fresh.
