Wild K9s Toolkit
A collection of products, books, and resources I genuinely use, recommend, or regularly suggest to clients. These aren’t sponsored recommendations - they’re simply tools I’ve found helpful over the years supporting dogs and their people.
There is a huge range of dog products on the market, and not all of them are created equal. The items featured here are products I trust, use myself, or have seen work well with the dogs and families I support.
Every dog is an individual, so if you’re unsure which option might be the best fit for your dog, please feel free to get in touch. I’m always happy to point you in the right direction.
As with all toys and enrichment items, please supervise your dog appropriately and ensure fresh drinking water is always available.
Treats & Chews
Wild K9s Treats & Chews
I also stock a range of carefully selected treats and chews based around whole-animal ingredients, with no unnecessary additives, fillers, or nasties. I’m quite picky about what I recommend and use with dogs, so if you’d like to find out what’s currently available, just drop me a message.
Enrichment
LickiMat Range
One of my most-used enrichment tools for helping dogs slow down, decompress, and engage with food in a calmer, more thoughtful way. The range includes softer mats for puppies and gentle chewers, tougher options for stronger dogs, wobble bowls, Yoggie Pots, and feeding accessories.
Enrichment
Snuffle & Foraging Mats
Snuffle mats can be brilliant for encouraging natural sniffing and foraging behaviour, helping many dogs decompress and switch off. I personally prefer the better-quality versions, as some cheaper mats can contain loose parts or poorly made components that may become unsafe over time. The good news is you absolutely don’t need to spend a fortune - a simple bath mat can often do a very similar job.
Enrichment
West Paw Toppl
One of my favourite enrichment toys. Dogs seem to absolutely love them, and they’re often less frustrating than toys like Kongs while still providing enough challenge to keep dogs engaged. Brilliant for stuffed and frozen enrichment, meal prep, and helping busy brains slow down. Top tip: if you’re freezing anything liquid inside, pop a carrot into the small hole first to stop it leaking while freezing.
Walking & Adventure
Yellow Dogs UK
A brilliant organisation helping raise awareness of dogs who need space. Perfect for nervous, recovering, elderly, or training dogs who benefit from a little extra understanding in public. You receive a 20% discount in their online shop by using the code SPONSOR20
Enrichment
PetSafe Bob-A-Lot
One of my favourite novelty enrichment toys, particularly for slightly nervous or cautious dogs. The unpredictable movement encourages curiosity, confidence, and gentle problem-solving, but because it dispenses food relatively easily, it tends to create far less frustration than many puzzle toys. Available for small and large dogs.
Treats & Chews
Peanut Butter
Brilliant for enrichment, stuffing toys, and cooperative care, but always double-check the ingredients. Avoid anything containing xylitol (sometimes called birch sugar), as this is highly toxic to dogs.
